The incredibly impulsive, perplexingly multifaceted, and complex artistic activity of István Drozsnyik (1951) – a visual artist, performer and poet, as well as a photographer, script writer, film director and so much more – renders him unique on the Hungarian art scene. It constitutes an autonomous domain of art which deals in peculiarities, while also existing as an integrative art phenomenon with a summarising validity and character, which reacts sensitively and authentically to the challenges posed by our times.
