FEHÉR LÁSZLÓ

The painting of László Fehér (1953) is a figurative painting based on a realist outlook, but which cannot be lumped under any specific heading in art history. His attitude might be described as a unique, ‘uncategorised realism’. In his paintings he often confronts realist motifs with reductive, monochrome surfaces which seem to refer to a reality that is ‘hidden’ in space, is invisible but nevertheless present.
