Sturcz János:
Lovas Ilona
Ilona Lovas (1948) is a pioneering artist who has a special place on the Hungarian postmodern art scene, and in particular in the emerging history of Hungarian female art. Her works have from the outset been characterised by environmental consciousness, political dedication and her advocacy of religious faith and a female viewpoint. Her works are essentially imprints and video representations of her meditations, prayers and pilgrimages, into which she draws the viewer. She opens up a personal, spiritual path, inviting the viewer to follow her. Freedom of manipulation and metaphysical purity mark Ilona Lovas’ place in contemporary Hungarian art.Price: 2500 HUF
