György Lipcsey (1955) takes on a heroic role in using the means of visual art to draw attention to the growing social and artistic crisis of our time. He deliberately stands with tradition and chooses Jewish and Christian cultural themes to illustrate how important classical European artistic tradition is to people today. The essence of Lipcsey’s oeuvre is arguably most fully expressed in his collection of works entitled Myth, Faith, History, which combines the universality of classical values with the importance of local values.
