Sinkovits Péter:
Csernus Tibor
Throughout his entire career, Tibor Csernus (1927–2007) was fond of revisiting his earlier periods as well as the heritage of art history. In the 1980s he was a follower of Caravaggio’s style and in the following decade he produced an impressive series of Expressive-Realistic paintings based on William Hogarth. In the his last period of creative fulfilment he passed freely to and from the simple but busy world of everyday scenes and mystical literary histories. The inspiration had come from the latter half of the Sixties, but the series showcased the technical prowess of the elderly master who was out to perfect painterly effects.Price: 2500 HUF
