Botond Részegh (1977) is one of the key figures of Hungarian contemporary art. He currently living and working in Transylvania and Budapest. In his body of work, characterised by an unconventional tone and unique style, the depths and heights of human existence – demanding metaphysical interpretation – appear simultaneously, accompanied by a distinctive aesthetic ideal which, in defying the traditional ideals of beauty, defines the visual world of his art.
