This book is dedicated to the 1998–2010 period of the art of Antal Vásárhelyi (1950). His earlier works were conceived in the same spirit, making his oeuvre coherent to the point that it resists thematic or stylistic periodisation. It is also consistent in terms of genre. In addition to litographs, Vásárhelyi produced drawings and paintings. His works defy the usual and known relationships of space and time. Turning inside out and outside in his illusory buildings, vedutas and labyrinths that meld perspective and axonometry, he offers a new dimension and interpretation of space round every corner.
