Katalin Verebics’s (1980) art is constant evolving. By today, her initially self-centred work has – in part thanks to her psychological approach – shifted toward collectivism. In her works, she employs the experimental methods of the avantgarde in parallel with a characteristic respect for tradition. Approaches based in cultural history are balanced with new forms of contemporary thought, thereby creating one of the greatly original, constantly renewing and path-seeking oeuvres in contemporary visual art.
